It has been way too long since I’ve been to eagle bluff. I will be there for sure.

Just wanted to share an image from yesterday’s eclipse! Most of the photos turned out really blurry. Really tough to focus when it’s mostly cloudy, but I’m pretty happy with what I got.

Wow, that’s amazing! I managed to get that on my camera too. Mine camera is facing directly south, near Chester Woods park.

Weather is looking good for tonight. “Should” be clear until 2am.

    Anyone up for Observing tonight?

Weather tonight does look much better. However I may not be able to attend. Not sure yet.

If eagle bluff is a no go, I’d do root river.

I’d be interested in a Saturday night outing at EB or RR.

It was so nice to get out with folks again on the 7th, as promised here’s the photo I was working on. I think my camera has some hot pixels I need to work out when processing. But, here’s the Iris Nebula, NGC 7023!

Eagle Bluff would be perfect. Fingers crossed the weather holds up. If we don’t hear anything about EB, we can always do Root River.

I’m still using my modified Canon 70D. I did grab some photos of the Horse Head, but I noticed some of the smaller stars were a little out of focus. I’ll still post it later this week. Got to say, that CGX mount is very impressive.

Hey everyone, first post on the new forum! Looks great! Anyway, here’s a photo of the flame nebula. This was taken with my new EdgeHD 1100 W/CGX mount. Next investment might be a new ZWO camera, fingers crossed!
