Well, apparently attachments show up only in certain views of the forum. If you don't see it, go to the main category "Observing Tonight".
March 11, 2021 at 11:42 pm #12633Yep Jeff, we are planning on Friday night at Eagle Bluff again! Looks like a carbon copy of last Saturday, but maybe a bit colder so bundle up and bring a hot beverage. Will confirm it here tomorrow afternoon.
March 12, 2021 at 9:26 pm #12634Sounds like a GO for tonight. Bathroom code is 1339. Dress warm!
March 20, 2021 at 4:59 am #12635April 14, 2021 at 2:08 pm #13342Hey everyone, first post on the new forum! Looks great! Anyway, here’s a photo of the flame nebula. This was taken with my new EdgeHD 1100 W/CGX mount. Next investment might be a new ZWO camera, fingers crossed!
April 14, 2021 at 9:04 pm #13343Mike, good to see your nice picture of the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flame_Nebula Happy to reply for the first time in newly converted forum!
April 18, 2021 at 6:54 pm #13346Have to agree with Josef, Mike a very nice picture with you new scope! (Is the horsehead next?!) BTW what camera did you use? Your new scope should also be great on planetary pics.
April 19, 2021 at 8:51 am #13348I’m still using my modified Canon 70D. I did grab some photos of the Horse Head, but I noticed some of the smaller stars were a little out of focus. I’ll still post it later this week. Got to say, that CGX mount is very impressive.

May 6, 2021 at 9:04 am #13364Hello all, Is it going to be clear Friday or Saturday night? Is Eagle Bluff available?
Jeff
May 6, 2021 at 7:16 pm #13365Eagle Bluff would be perfect. Fingers crossed the weather holds up. If we don’t hear anything about EB, we can always do Root River.
May 6, 2021 at 7:35 pm #13366Hi, we are trying to contact Eagle Bluff to confirm for lights off and bathroom code. Friday night (May 7) is looking good albeit chilly. Hopefully they’ll respond quickly tomorrow.
May 7, 2021 at 11:50 am #13367Eagle Bluff is available for our use.
May 7, 2021 at 3:43 pm #13374I plan to be there tonight, as does Dean and a new astronomy friend of his.
May 10, 2021 at 10:41 pm #13379It was so nice to get out with folks again on the 7th, as promised here’s the photo I was working on. I think my camera has some hot pixels I need to work out when processing. But, here’s the Iris Nebula, NGC 7023!
