Astrophotography brings the night sky into focus through photographs of the Moon, planets, star fields, nebulae, galaxies, and more. From a camera on a tripod to a telescope and dedicated astronomy camera, there are many ways to capture and share the sky.
The Rochester Astronomy Club’s astrophotography gallery celebrates images made by our photographers and the techniques behind them. Explore the photographs, learn from the details shared by their creators, and contribute your own view of the universe.

Have an image to share? Visit the submission page and log in with your club account. Start with a title, a finished image, and an imaging type. Add as much or as little acquisition and processing information as you have available. If your account does not yet have submission access, contact the club.
JPEG, PNG, and WebP images are accepted, up to 50 MB per file and 50 megapixels. Share photographs you created and check that any information or embedded location details are suitable for public viewing. After publication, log in and open your photo to use Edit photo details to correct metadata or exposure counts without uploading the image again.
