Observing tonight?

Saturday is more likely for us at Eagle Bluff. If the sky is clear, we may go out to Keller for a couple of hours on Friday, as well.

I'll be available tomorrow night, likely not Saturday night.  Will decide if Friday is better at Keller or EB.

Right now, thinking about doing Keller tonight, not sure about Saturday.  May just wake up Sunday morning and look for Perseids from the backyard.  🙂

Looks like smoke from the the California fires will preclude any deep sky viewing tonight.  Might just stay on the driveway.

So…. what is the consensus for tonight?  Is Eagle Bluff a go or no-go?
Clear Sky Chart for Eagle Bluff looks good apart from some smoke.
Smoke is likely not going to be thick enough to cloud good company. though.  😀
I need to dust off equipment pretty soon if it is a go.
Who is making the decision?

any meteors make it through the smoke…

FYI, Eagle Bluff?s parking lot is open both Friday and Saturday nights.  Parking lot lights out and bathrooms open. 
Unfortunately, we cannot turn this into an official StarBQ.  That will take more planning.
