      With the moon out, we don't have any dark sky to go to, so we don't have to go too far.  🙂

          Jim,  do you know where Root River park is?  It is on County Road 1 a little past Simpson, looks like 80th St SE.  We meet at the parking lot.  Haven't been there yet this year, but last year would set up in the grass around the parking lot.

            i'll find it. heck, i just saw that Cty Rd 1 is the road i cross when i'm riding my bike through Bear Creek.
            i should be there by 8ish, maybe sooner?

              Ok, see you there.  Just a reminder, the sun doesn't set until close to 8:50, so 8ish might be a little early.  🙂

                  Looks like it may be a nice weekend.  Is Eagle Bluff available?  This weekend and next weekend should be good for observing.

                    Tomorrow night, Saturday, looks better than tonight for observing.  Looks a little cloudy now and apparently will stay partly cloudy through the evening.  I'd probably like to head out somewhere on Saturday.

                      What a difference a day makes.  Forecast doesn't look that good for tonight now.

                        i think it will clear up according to weather.com but alas, i have other
                        commitments tonight. maybe next time…

                          Yes, weather.com is sort of saying it may clear up 9-10 or so.

                            Anyone thinking of going out and want company?  I'm sort of growing roots unless someone else is thinking of giving it a go.  🙂

                                That sounds pretty good.  Is that a sure thing going to Eagle Bluff?  Things do show clear tonight.  Will be a bright moon out.

                                  Dean and me for sure. Nice lunar observing. Won?t be until about 9 or so when we get there.
