Keller was excellent from 8:45 until 10 pm with most of the sky clear. Nebulae and open and globular star clusters were the main targets of the 20 x 80 binocs and Starblast telescope and both provided great views.
Tonight looks clear cool and a bit windy but I might go again.

I'll be there with my oldest son at maybe 8:30ish. I was going to go to Keller, but I could join you Bob if you'd rather do that. It looks about the same distance either way. I'll be at Keller if I don't hear from you(you can call or text ###-###-####).

Whoops! Sorry didn't check a second time Luka. Hope you and your son had a great night at Keller. Must say it is a slightly darker site than my backyard observatory's. Hope you had awesome views!

We had a great time! We saw a bunch of the current highlights. Given that my son has seen m45 and m42 a bunch, his favorite object was M46.
I'd love to see your observatory next time.

Looks like it might by good tomorrow night. See clouds coming in again now. Tomorrow would be good either Eagle Bluff or at Keller.

i wanted to but had to sign up for overtime at work…but if nobody has anything
going Ken Fiscus of Albert Lea said he will be at the Sola Fide Observatory in Austin
tonight if its clear and would appreciate any help. here is a link…

Looks like there may be some clear evenings this weekend. Anyone up for observing? I'm pretty sure I will head to Keller if there are some clear evenings. With the holiday, don't have to work on Monday, so possibility of 3 days/nights to observe: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday! 🙂

Right now, Saturday is looking pretty good. Have to see how much it clears up today.. Sunday may even be clear. I'm thinking Saturday for sure and perhaps even other days. 🙂

I will head to Keller for a bit tonight. Tomorrow I think I will try out Root River park. Anyone want to join me tonight at Keller, come on out. Sun sets at 8:40 tonight.
