Post info here.
August 24, 2016 at 12:54 pm #12981Yes, any updates on the StarBQ? Doesn't look too good. Earlier, I thought Friday might be OK, but now looks like Friday morning good, but then cloudy in the evening.. Rain Saturday. π
August 24, 2016 at 3:15 pm #12982Looks like 2.5 inches of rain in Spring Grove last night and more down in Iowa.
August 25, 2016 at 5:31 pm #12983I agree Jeff – forecast has definitely gone down hill the closer we get to Friday. :'(
August 25, 2016 at 9:55 pm #12984I'd say Friday night looks to be definetly out. There's been consistent forecasts of rain all week. Saturday….partly cloudy at best from 10pm to 2am, per Accuweather. Sunday night, on the other hand, looks clear. π
Long range forecasts shows next weekend may be a carbon copy of this one. Double π π

Weather is not fair I tell you. Just not fair!
I am beginning to think I need to move to Arizona.
August 26, 2016 at 3:09 am #12986No doubt Friday night is a wash. I'd say there is still hope (albeit slim) for Saturday night.
Stay tuned!Randy
August 26, 2016 at 7:44 pm #12987Jerome, I'm with you. Have always wanted to check out Arizona. Tonight looks like a no go, and tomorrow doesn't look very promising.
Also, can I get directions to the StarBQ?
ThanksAugust 26, 2016 at 7:58 pm #12988https://goo.gl/maps/TEKUWRVjU282 If we are next to the house, otherwise it's next road and tree up to North, closer to the MN border.
GPS
House: 43?29'35.1"N+91?36'43.5"WAugust 26, 2016 at 8:36 pm #12989Checked 3 different weather sites. The reports are altered since this morning but each reporting something slightly different. All of them predict rain moving in after 11pm. High percentage of clouds.
Tomorrow (Saturday) They say slight chance of rain, less clouds, but foggy (100%).
Anyone one have a crystal ball or a Vidal (hair dryer)?
Thoughts about postponing until next week (Labor Day): Who already has plans/commitments? Weather is totally a WAG (Wild A.. Guess) that far out.
August 26, 2016 at 8:38 pm #12990I should make it next week
August 26, 2016 at 9:21 pm #12991Dean has called me and said the StarBQ is off for this weekend. Weather is just looking too bad. He said maybe next weekend we'll give it another shot.
August 27, 2016 at 3:05 pm #12992I'll be able to make it next weekend too. The forecast for next Friday looks to be almost cloud free through the entire Midwest. FYI, Neptune will be at opposition next Friday night. I take that as a good sign. π See you then. – John
August 28, 2016 at 4:43 am #12993Dean informed me that, for now, he's planning on moving the StarBQ to the end of September: Sept 30/Oct 1.

September 22, 2016 at 2:37 am #12994StarBQ update!
Dean informed me tonight that this weekend's option for the StarBQ is out. No-go. Too much wetness in the driveway and surroundings for us to land.
Looking towards the new moon weekend of Sept 30/Oct 1 now. Continue to stay tuned.Randy
