Greetings! I was at Mayo High School Friday night and really appreciated your willingness to come out in spite of the cold and clouds. I passed along your website address to several families along with the information that you sometimes do public viewings. In response, someone asked me how she can tell what events of yours are public. Can we tell that by looking at the calendar on your website? Thanks, Dee
Dee, I'm sorry we didn't have more to show on that cold cloudy night, but all of our stargazing events are public and free. If anyone has specific questions or want to set up a small group for viewing, they can contact me through the "contact" link on the left side of our website.
So looking at the radar, it's "mostly clear"-"Partly cloudy". But, I have been itching to get out, so I'm going to make a go for it at Keller. Ill try to get out there and setup a little before sun set. Hopefully I can cloud hop.
i'm waiting to see what everyone else is doing. If it's EB i would prefer Sat night, but if everyone goes Friday i will try. If no one is going to EB i will go to Keller. since i have a new scope (Z12) i am surely going somewhere! jim
If it folks are looking to head out to EB, I'll be there. Got a new Advanced VX mount I really would like to get under some clear skies. I'll keep my eyes open.
Dean Johnson did call Eagle Bluff and they are wide open all weekend long. I can't make Friday or Saturday night, but Dean might be able to make Saturday night, and we both for certain will be down there on Sunday night. Weather forecast looks great. I think it's wide open to get out when you can!
Due to other commitments, we're planning to hit Keller after 9pm tonight. Although it won't be a late night (or early morning) as we'd like to have plenty of reserve for Sat/Sun at Eagle Bluff.
