Come See the Sun!
Join us for a sidewalk astronomy event focused on safe solar observing! Through specially filtered telescopes, you’ll get an up-close look at the Sun’s surface. Amateur astronomers from the Rochester Astronomy Club will be on hand to explain what you’re seeing and answer questions about our nearest star. This event (dependent on at least partly cloudy skies) is a great chance to experience the Sun in a whole new way!
There is no formal presentation; stop by anytime between 12-2PM to have a chance to see the sun’s surface. Bring a packed lunch and make a picnic of it!
