I was just thinking the same thing.

July 18, 2014 at 3:44 am #11808I will contact Eagle Bluff when I get home from the plant tomorrow at 1 p.m.
I too, am yearning for some telescope time.
July 18, 2014 at 6:56 pm #11809Eagle Bluff has groups there, but the lights can be off. I don't have the bathroom code yet, but they are supposed to email it to me if we need it.
Tonight looks like the better night of the two. I am going to try make it.
You should hear more between 6/7 p.m.
July 18, 2014 at 8:09 pm #11810What's it like down there Dean? Somewhat on the cloudy side here. Hopefully it will do so evening clearing. CSC and weather.com hint at a couple of hours of clear skies in the 9-midnight time frame. Hope it'll turn out that way.
July 18, 2014 at 9:31 pm #11811Lastest satellite clip showing considerable clouds coming up from Iowa…
Not sure if, given the humidity right now, they will dissipate after the heating of the day is past.July 18, 2014 at 11:47 pm #11812Right now it's not worth a darn here in Spring Grove. The KTTC radar doesn't look so hot either.
I would recommend LOCAL OBSERVING ONLY. Eagle Bluff is a long way to go on an iffy forecast.
July 19, 2014 at 12:07 am #11813Looks like we'll be heading out to Keller – likely 8:30-9pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.
July 19, 2014 at 12:26 am #11814Ok, I'll be heading to Keller then as well around that time.
July 19, 2014 at 10:30 pm #11815Is it going to be clear for a couple of hours this evening before midnight? Any guesses?
July 23, 2014 at 1:50 am #11816Itching to get out. Friday night doesn't look so good. Anyone up for a quick night out to Keller on Wednesday and then Saturday night at Eagle Bluff?
July 23, 2014 at 3:07 am #11817Chris, Looks like we should have headed to Keller tonight. I would be up for Keller on Wednesday. Post here if you think you want to head out on Wednesday. Keep in mind at this time of year it is close to 10pm before you can see much of anything, in case you have to be up early on Thursday.
I guess I don't know which is better, Friday or Saturday. I believe there is another cold front coming through this weekend, so not sure how well that will work for Saturday night.Dean, how does Eagle Bluff look this weekend, Friday and Saturday. Are they open?
July 23, 2014 at 7:42 pm #11818Hey Mr. Gorp, you want to head to Keller tonight? Anyone else? If anyone says they'll be there, I'll head out there, too. No one says anything, then hard to say whether I'll go or not.
I'm pretty sure these clouds won't be there tonight, right?
July 24, 2014 at 12:22 am #11819Looks a little too nice out there. I'll be at Keller. You all head on out if you can for a little while.
July 24, 2014 at 12:23 am #11820Oh, to clarify, I'll be heading out there later, not right now.
Probably be there before 9pm anyway. Sunset at 8:43.
July 24, 2014 at 2:18 am #11821Hi everyone. One group at Eagle Bluff, but no problem with the parking lot lights. Dawn said that she would email me the bathroom code.
I told her Friday night is primary, Saturday night the backup. I am up for and/or either.
