Public Sky Observing 2022-07/30

Public Sky Observing of the dark sky, planets Mercury and Saturn, bright stars, double stars, nebulas, star clusters, galaxies and more by telescope with guidance members of the Rochester Astronomy Club. There will be 2.2 days old Moon above West horizon, and few degrees lower towards right planet Mercury. At about 9:10 PM there will be Saturn rising on the East horizon. Comet C/2017 K2 PanSTARRS on hyperbolic orbit (e 1.0008) should be visible in the Ophiuchus not too far from M10 and M12, close to M107, with estimated 9 mag. See ephemeris AR = 16h27m10s Dec = -10°45’12”.
