Life In The Universe – Are we Alone?

From the earliest time, the night sky has evoked awe and contemplation about our origins. Where do we come from? Are we alone? Only in the last half a century is has science weighed in on the topic. In this indoor presentation we will explore
• What makes an environment hospitable for life?
• Life in our Solar System — What are we looking for, and where are we looking?
• Life outside our Solar System — What are the chances that it exists, and how are we looking

Mike Quirk is a retired Systems Infrastructure Engineer. Astronomy and space exploration has been an interest for Mike since a young age and is an active member of the Rochester Astronomy Club.
