Friday night is full of clouds so July’s dark sky observing will be moved to Saturday.
Eagle Bluff is our dark sky site for astronomical observing. Bring a scope or enjoy views through ours. The new moon at Eagle Bluff always delivers fantastic Milky Way vistas, and the area around the Teapot is especially rich with detail.
This time of year, one of my favorite sights is spotting the Andromeda Galaxy with the naked eye. The Messier list is a parade of wonders, and I’m eager to show off how breathtaking M13 looks through Dean’s scope.
For night owls, Saturn will climb into view after midnight—just 1° from Neptune.
Join us and pick a few targets of your own!
Check back for updates on this event as it may be moved or cancelled due to clouds.
