Hi Barb, do you get the meeting notices from Randy?  He sent it on 12/30.  Anyway..
Sorry, but the holiday party was last night at Randy's.   :(

It looks like it was on the RAC events calendar:
   http://rochesterskies.org/calendar/action~agenda/exact_date~1-1-2020/

I think all of the meeting and public observing dates are out there.

I think that really needs the dark sky weekends on it as well.

Forecast right now looks like it might just be clear on Friday and Saturday and not that cold.  Anyone up for going out somewhere observing?  Is Eagle Bluff available this weekend?  I looked at Root River and Keller the other day (before the last snow) and they are plowed, but have some ice.  They have plowed only a small part of Keller, not the whole thing.  The Root River lot is smaller now as the snow is being piled up in the lot itself.
Anyway... anyone up for this weekend?

Dean Johnson talked to Addie down at Eagle Bluff and it is open both Friday and Saturday nights.  Saturday night would work out best for both of us.
I can bring the trailer for warmth if I can get it out of storage.  Some 4-H kids would be there also. We'll have access to the bathrooms. Post if you are interested.

I'm interested.   Also interested for Friday, both days!  Anyone else also want to go out on Friday? Want  to make sure one day works this weekend.   :)

Randy, will someone be there to make sure the lights are off in the parking lot tonight?

Kind of windy out there today.   Not sure how much it will slow down this evening.

With the wind today, some roads are snow covered and slippery.   So right now,  probably leaning towards not heading to Eagle Bluff tonight.   Unless someone can say what the road looks like between Rochester and Fountain.   :)

I'm planning on heading to Eagle Bluff tonight.   Hopefully with not much wind and sun, the roads will be cleared off more than yesterday.
I didn't head to Eagle Bluff yesterday, stayed home.   I did observe out in the driveway for about an hour.   It was pretty nice out there.   Seemed pretty warm, a bit of wind.  Should be good out tonight.

Agree Jeff tonight might be fine.  Joseph and Luka had good viewing at Root River Friday night I understand.  I used binoculars and showed our dinner guests some constellations Friday nite just before they went home.
